Unfortunately we come by those special jobs which stick in our mind for sometime into the future. It appears that this tree may have been poisoned by neighbours due to excess shedding tree parts. It was a tricky removal with a wide spreading crown which took up the whole backyard and extended over neighbouring properties with limited and structurally compromised rigging points. All in all the job went very smoothly with the E.A.R boys testing out the new rock exotica rigging gear. The log was also taken to our yard and will be milled into slabs and other various bush furniture.
At times a Visual Tree Inspection (VTA) from the ground is not not sufficnent. Recently we had to prepare a report and apart of the data gathering included an aerial inspection to get a closer look at a large cavity located 10m from ground level. The location and extent of damage was alarming and would have been near impossible to evaluate from the ground.
