Made by The Commonwealth Film Unit 1972. Directed by Oliver Howes. Life in a country town dependent on the timber industry in the Karri country, South-west WA. Shows Karri forests, tree felling, reforestation, controlled burning of undergrowth, hauling and milling the Karri timber. Also show the everyday activities of the local population.

I stumbled across this sometime ago and was mesmerised. In the Port Macquarie Hastings area, were logging is still quite prevalent, its a shame to see the lack of reforestation and management taking place after tree harvesting.
